Family from Palakkad
We extended Gift help towards a blind family.
Both members are partially blind. The husband sells lottery tickets. They have two kids and the husband suffers from asthma problems. The wife is able to make Agarbathis and Candles, but often they are not in a position to purchase raw materials. Also they are building a house with help of like-minded people and help of Pachayath. The house is half way done but the tragedy is that most of the money they got was spent for their and kids treatment. We gave a cheque of 20,000 Rs hoping to start their house construction.
We visited this family and understand how pathetic their situation is. We have added few photos.
Gift is also planning to take this as a ‘sustainable charity’. Like sponsoring their kids to complete their schooling, help them to find market for their products etc. Please share your thoughts.
