The floods that hit Kerala in Aug-2018 were one of the devastating in the entire history of the state. Itleft around 325 dead and more than 2.5 lakh in various relief camps.
GIFT team distributed relief materials worth Rs.1 lakh to various relief camps in Ernakulam district. The team was also able to reach and provide materials worth Rs.30, 000 in the severely affected areas of Pandanad and Vaikom located at Aleppey and Kottayam districts respectively. The relief materials included essentials like water, food, medicines, clothing, sanitary items and cleaning material.
